Student Government Association

Dear Blue Devils:

 

       We look to this upcoming academic year with a sense of optimism and pride. We have before us, an amazing and fortunate opportunity to do such positive and powerful actions in benefiting our campus. This Student Government is resolved to ensure the welfare of each student economically, environmentally, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. We, Blue Devils, are one community that has the chance to do more for our campus than ever before.

 

       Our Academic Affairs Committee stands ready to address all academic concerns and, as it has in times past, handle them with tact, seriousness, and great fortitude. From fighting to re-instate fall commencement to academic forums, Academic Affairs will work tirelessly to represent your interests.

 

       Our Student Life Committee stands prepared to ensure the holistic wellness of each and every student in our community. College, work, and life weigh down heavily on us. We each struggle in different ways physically, emotionally, intellectually, and more. The Student Life Committee’s wellness initiatives will seek to improve the wellness of our campus and spread compassion.

 

     Our Public Affairs Committee is the eyes, ears, and mouth of the SGA. They will ensure that your concerns are heard and that you are efficiently represented. They also work with both the City of New Britain and the State to protect the interests of CCSU and our student body.

 

      Our Finance Committee will ensure proper investment in student clubs and student run organizations.

 

       With a new year comes a new chance. A chance to do something greater than ourselves. Together with the hard work of each committee, this Student Government will work harder than those past to make CCSU a better place.

 

       This year we are starting with a dream and ending with a future we can all be proud of!
