Student Government Association

          The Student Government Association is for everyone who would like to help make CCSU the best it can be. The SGA Senate is the representative body of the SGA, which is comprised of full-time undergraduate students.

          The SGA senate is responsible for acting as “The Voice of Student’s.”Its senators and the executive officers are democratically elected by the full-time undergraduates of CCSU during fall and spring elections.

          The Senate is there to handle the concerns, needs and celebrations of the CCSU student body. As a student-run governing body it is also responsible for promoting undergraduate participation in the various projects, committees, and organizations at the university, state, and national level. The goal is to help shape the university and education in Connecticut.

          Another Senate responsibility is allocating the SGA portion of the Student Activity Fund that is paid by all full-time undergraduate students. The Student Activity Fund is used to promote and fund student clubs, activities, services and forums for the benefit of the students and their educational opportunities.
